Changing Habits Public Workshop
17 September 2010 – the alphaeight institute
Twenty participants, from a range of companies, joined the institute’s public “Changing Habits” programme in mid-September. The workshop is designed to enable people to focus on ways of improving their performance by developing better more productive ways of working (‘habits’).
Among the group were participants from Lane Crawford, National Australia Bank, Osram, KPMG, Emirates Shipping, Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel and Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
The feedback from participants was very positive.
The workshop was led by institute chairman Bruce Stinson, who has been working on this area of research for over 20 years and is passionate in championing this opportunity area for personal growth.
Bruce took the group through a number of methods for “reprogramming” the Subconscious Mind to maximize performance , giving them invaluable insights into how the mind works and how it can be made to work much more effectively. He also introduced the new science of NeuroLeadership to explain why some behaviours are so “addictive” and how to leverage this knowledge for personal benefit.
The practical nature of the workshop was illustrated by a detailed group discussion of how to improve performance at the workplace using the techniques, taking the example of someone who wanted to conduct more effective meetings at work.
Each participant left with a self-designed Action Plan to enable them to deliver improved performance both at work and also in other areas of their life.
