After graduating from the University of Hong Kong, Emba has been in the private legal practice for over 12 years.
She is a partner with prominent Hong Kong law firm Lily Fenn & Partners.
In her early years of practice, Emba has developed her expertise in a number of areas such as personal injury claims, insurance, corporate and commercial matters. Since 2002, Emba has become recognised as an expert in sports related projects. In that year she was appointed by the Hong Kong Government to advise on the restructuring of the Hong Kong Sports Institute, the integrated elite sports training institute in Hong Kong.
For some time Emba has been acting as the legal adviser to the Equestrian Events (Hong Kong) of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad Company Limited (formed under the Equestrian Committee of the Hong Kong Government) which shared responsibility with the Hong Kong Jockey Club for the planning and execution of the highly successful 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events. These high-profile events were held in the Special Administrative Region of China as part of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Further emphasising Ms Leung’s expertise in the legal side of sport management, she has been appointed as the legal adviser to the 5th East Asian Games to be held in 2009.
These two events – the Equestrian Events of the 2008 Olympics and the 2009 East Asian Games – constitute the two major international sports events ever held in Hong Kong. Emba also works closely with the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China on various legal matters, while continuing to play a major role in her firm’s practice in numerous other areas of law.
For many years, Emba has also made considerable contribution to various Community Service projects in both Hong Kong and China through her involvement as a member of the Rotary Club of Kowloon North.
