InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong
“Working Better Together” Workshop
18-19 August 2010 - Disneyland Hotel

The 24-person Leadership Team of the InterContinental Grand Stanford HK, led by the General Manager – Mr. Peter Pollmeier, attended a 2-day off-site training workshop organised by the alphaeight institute at The HK Disneyland Hotel on 18th and 19th August 2010.
The workshop - “Working Better Together” - focused heavily on team discussions, facilitated by John and Bruce of alphaeight, in order to develop solutions for internally identified opportunities for further improvements.
The highly entertaining and interactive personality assessment tool “Click! Colours” was used to great effect in demonstrating personality differences and how to ‘flex’ one’s approach for better results. The Leadership Team learnt a lot about themselves and their fellow team-mates, and will be applying their learning for more effective teamwork.
Through group discussions and team building activities, the Leadership Team has developed an in-depth understanding of different Leadership Styles, Leading High Performance Teams, Emotional Intelligence and Change Management. A varied range of training techniques meant that the Team stayed highly involved throughout and committed to follow through on their resultant Action Plans to ensure a return on their investment!
The highly-motivated Leadership Team made the 2 days filled with joy and laughter, definitely an enjoyable and productive experience for us all!
